Data You Give Us Directly
The search forms on this site send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the third-party search provider that returns sponsored results. We do not keep a copy of those searches on our own servers. If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to include and use them only to respond.
Data Collected Automatically
Like most websites, our hosting tools record standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to keep the site running and to understand which pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use This Data
We use the data described above to operate the site, troubleshoot problems, measure traffic, and improve pages about Dublin and Alameda County record sources. We do not sell a visitor list. We also do not build profiles of individual users.
Links to Other Websites
This site links to government portals, Alameda County and California records offices, Dublin city pages, library collections, and third-party search tools. Each outside site has its own privacy policy, and data you submit there is governed by that site's rules. The sponsored search results on this site are provided by a third-party company, so its policy controls data sent to that tool.
Who Might See Your Data
Service providers that host and support this site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We will disclose data if valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
How We Protect Your Data
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Because this site does not use accounts, there is no user password or local profile for us to protect here.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a website holds about you. California privacy resources include the Attorney General's California Consumer Privacy Act and CPRA guidance and the state data broker registry page. Because we hold almost nothing, most requests are limited to searching our contact mailbox and server logs and removing what we find. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Dublin, Alameda County, or California offices are outside our control; removal requests for those records must go to the custodian office.
Updates to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
